Insulated glass is a new type of building material that offers excellent insulation, soundproofing, aesthetic appeal, and can reduce the weight of buildings. It is made by bonding two or three glass panels with a high-strength, high-airtight composite adhesive to an aluminum alloy frame containing desiccant. However, on its surface, a dense oxide film forms in the air, preventing it from further reacting with oxygen and water. At high temperatures, it can react with oxygen and release a large amount of heat. With this high reaction heat, aluminum can displace metals from other oxides.
