Welons Solar Heat Pump System: Field Durability & Performance Validation Project

Welons Solar Heat Pump System: Field Durability & Performance Validation Project

2026-06-01
Project Overview

Client: Welons Prefab R&D Division

Location: Zengcheng District, Guangzhou, China

Service: Field Durability & Performance Validation for Solar Heat Pump System

Welons Prefab is proud to announce the successful completion of field testing for our new solar heat pump system at our dedicated test facility in Zengcheng, Guangzhou, in April 2026. The month-long trial was designed to rigorously validate the system’s resilience against harsh outdoor conditions, with a focus on structural stability and operational efficiency under extreme wind and rainfall scenarios. This milestone marks a critical step in confirming the product’s readiness for commercial launch.

Client Challenges & Requirements

As part of Welons’ commitment to delivering reliable, market-ready renewable energy solutions, the project aimed to address key validation needs:

  • Validate the solar heat pump system’s structural integrity under strong wind conditions (above Level 5 wind force) to ensure long-term outdoor durability.
  • Verify consistent operational efficiency during heavy rainfall events (up to 20mm precipitation) to confirm performance reliability in humid, variable subtropical climates.
  • Conduct extended real-world field testing (over approximately one month) to simulate long-term exposure to diverse weather conditions and eliminate performance uncertainties.
  • Confirm the system meets all performance and safety benchmarks required for commercial deployment, proving it can withstand the rigors of real-world outdoor use.

Our Solution: Field Durability & Performance Validation for Solar Heat Pump System

Welons’ engineering team designed a comprehensive field testing program to rigorously evaluate the solar heat pump system under realistic harsh conditions:

  • Realistic Test Environment Setup: The trial was conducted at Welons’ purpose-built outdoor test facility in Zengcheng, selected for its subtropical climate with frequent wind and rain events, providing an accurate simulation of the product’s intended operating environments.
  • Continuous One-Month Weather Exposure: Over the course of approximately 30 days, the system was exposed to natural weather conditions, including periods of strong winds (above Level 5) and heavy rainfall (20mm precipitation), replicating the extreme scenarios the product may face in real-world use.
  • Real-Time Performance & Structural Monitoring: Our team continuously monitored two core metrics throughout the trial: the heat pump system’s operational efficiency, and the structural integrity of the unit and its mounting framework, to track performance stability under changing conditions.
  • Extreme Condition Stress Testing: The system was subjected to targeted stress tests during high wind and heavy rain events, designed to push the product beyond typical operating conditions to confirm its resilience.

Key Results & Impact

The successful field trial delivered clear, actionable results that validate the solar heat pump system’s performance and commercial readiness:

  • Exceptional Structural Resilience: Despite exposure to winds above Level 5 and 20mm of rainfall, the solar heat pump system’s structure remained virtually undamaged, demonstrating robust durability and wind resistance.
  • Consistent Operational Efficiency: The system maintained efficiency levels within the qualified range even during periods of harsh weather, proving its ability to deliver reliable performance in variable outdoor conditions.
  • Commercial Launch Readiness Confirmed: The trial results confirm that Welons’ new solar heat pump system has reached a mature stage of development, with proven performance and durability to support market launch and customer deployment.

This project underscores Welons’ commitment to rigorous product validation and engineering excellence. The successful field testing marks a significant milestone in our renewable energy solutions portfolio, proving our solar heat pump system is well-equipped to meet the demands of outdoor applications and serve customers in diverse climates worldwide.
